BJ Watkins was born June 05, 1982 in Tucson, Arizona. After her mother passed in 2007, she quit her job as a Deputy Sheriff in 2008 and moved to New York with nothing else lined up. She picked up a camera in April 2009 and can't seem to put it down. As a self-taught artist, BJ uses community events and live performance to be her teaching ground.
